What did you pay for your Durango?

I paid $2000 cash for mine. 103,000 miles, no wrecks, not a single door ding, everything (sans speakers) worked beautifully, and mine was purchased from a lady who's parents bought this truck new and gave it to her when they passed away.
It was an absolute steal until the dropped valve incident occurred

[QUOTE=duramgo03;2479974]Not a good choice!!! You should use the plain Champion plugs that are recommended on the sticker under the hood. Anything other than the champs could cause some or lots of problems.
I doubt that the sticker under the hood would recommend plugs that cost 3 times the cost of what came with the truck.
Never heard of anything wrong with NGK Iridium. Run them in my Harley and Dakota (for the last 4 years). No problems.
Pulled plug, perfect tan color. The muffler, plugs, air filter and flashpaq reprogram increased freeway mileage from 17.5 to 20. Seems like everything is working fine. Used to take just over a second to start, now it has no hesitation.
Not saying you are wrong, just my experience.

I've ran NKG plugs on mine too and never had any problems, they still look new after about 60k miles I put on them, and they seemed to increase my MPGs a few but I gapped them to about .050 too. Then again I was switching from the stock champions that had 144K on them and were in horrible shape.

Bought mine slightly used (11,000 miles) in August of 2003. Fully loaded 2002 4x4 4.7L for $22,000. It's been mine "free and clear" now for almost 3 years. Now has 116,000 K. We've replaced the headgasket, front wheel bearing/hub assembly, CV axles, CTM, and now looks like we're having issues with the rack & pinion - all within the last 18 months. We'll be buying a newer vehicle next year. Probably a Ram 2500 diesel if we can find one that won't break the bank.

Bought our first 1998 Durango used in 2000 with 45k for about 13k if I remember correctly. Traded it in 2003 for a new SLT, 2WD pretty loaded with leather and all but CD changer. It had 32 miles on it and we paid 32k. It now has 98k and still looks great, is paid off and I'm driving it until it's pushing up daisys.
