Question Bent rear axle

I found out the new durango i got has a bent rear axle. They are fixing it today but its the place i bought it from mechanics. Do i have anything to worry about like them putting a P.O.S. in or wear and tear that might have accrued during the time that it was drove before i got it

It really depends on the reputation of that dealership. I had to have the pins replaced in my rear-end so what would of cost me over 1k cost me nothing as their mechanics did it. I trust those folks though as their moto is "It is never a gamble buying from Company name goes here" not sure if I can state the dealership. If they want the sale they will make sure it is good. Now if it is new is another question it may be a rebuilt one so it is similar to new. Ask around there where you are and see what others say about their reputation.

Standard procedure would be to replace the bearing and seal. Hopefuly they do. Axel replacement is not a hard job, more tedious than anything, but they should do it right even if they are half butt.

As far as good axel, most are.

Ok im a (Best work to use here) nervous person when it comes to others working on my truck. Its just a corner mechanic. Im just worry about them being able to threw some POS from like a neon(not really a neon but some truck that would fit but shouldn't) I mean this place is gonna drop this much money for free seems like they either really like me or they are gonna rig it

Crazy thought?

You would be surprised now days to what people will do honestly to you as businesses know they need you. This is a high dollar fix unless you do it yourself but it is a drop in the bucket for the dealership as they want to make money.

Yes you can. With rented tools from your local parts house.
