Default spark plugs

getting ready to do a tune up. got alot of guys swearing by these "E3" plugs. has anybody run them in a 5.9 yet? do they perform as well as my friends are stating? dude with a 4.0 cherokee is getting 2 mpg better with them and everyone says that they run smoother and you can feel a difference.

Doubt it.
If all this were true the manufacturers would be using them. The latest and best technology in plugs are the iridiums that auto manufacturers have been using for years.

On your rig I'd got to Walmart and pick up the cheaper Autolites and keep going. I had a Ram 5.2 and on my Durango I used them with great service.

Don't get E-3's!

Just bend over and go get the cheapo $2 dollar Champion Copper spark plugs and do it right! That's what works and they run great!

Besides, why the hell would somebody want to spend $6-$8 bucks a plug for nothing.......LOL

i thought the results were too good to be true, i think i will just stick with the standard platinum plugs for ease of maininence.

for wires i was going to go with a "50 ohm per foot" wire. had a set picked out when i ran across granetelli motorsports offering a "0 ohm" set for our engines. they are only 89 bucks so not too shabby for a good performance wire. but again, this is the first i have heard of these wires. anybody got any use out of them? here is the link- http://www.jcwhitney.com/mpg/plus-ga.../p2017938.jcwx

oh, and by the way, my first choice in wires is between these- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-84276/

and these- https://www.customwiresets.com/home.php?cat=271

yea 0 ohm wires would be great if it was actually possible, but i havnt seen any material that will have 0 ohm resistance

and dont waste money on the platinums, they will cause problems down the road a ways unless you do 100% highway driving

First anyone offering a 0 ohm wire is just plain lying! Go MSD which is a proven name and they stand behind their product. Go with the 8.5mm wire.

i think i will just stick with the standard platinum plugs for ease of maininence.
Do what you will but let me warn you that these motors were NOT built to run them so they don't like them. But then again, people like them because they hear they do not have to replace them as much so they must know better right! Well your wrong as Chrysler put billions of dollars into building these motors so what do they know, right? Do me a favor, just use what OEM uses. The OEM uses cheap $2 Champion Copper Plugs.

champion copper cores it is, but i am going to go with a 50 ohm wire. that DOES make a big difference.

the msd's are a nice looking set and have the 50 ohm rating- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-32189/

so its between the taylors and the msd's both big names and fair prices
