When I had my Ram I bought the blue summit-racing wires. For the price they turned out to be a good choice. But if you are not sweating color, Advance carries Autolite wires and I consider them to be a very good wire.

It's not 8.5mm but 8mm and there is a wide variety of makers - http://www.partstrain.com/store/inde...=0&Ns=price2|1

Mallory seems to be their biggest carrier?

Mallory didn't make the wires when I was looking for them. Mallory is a GREAT product and runs with MSD.......IMHO.

Personally, being that it is a newer product (well kind of) and the fact they are only 8mm verses 8.5mm I think I would go for the MSD but either way. As for Taylor I would stay away.

Default right wires?

So quick question... If I was to pick up standard champion cooper plugs and the wireset... which wireset should I use on my 99 dodge 5.9 4x4... I don't do anything special with my truck, just work driving. I was looking at a couple websites to purchase and a lot of them dont post their specs as far as if 8mm or 8.5.

Don't do Autozone you'll get 4mm or 4.5 that is what happened to me. Yes they said that was the OEM replacement but folks here recommend to get 5mm or better. Go to partstrain.com they have a variety to choose from some don't say the mm it is though

I find that hard to believe. AZ sells inferior parts, but are they that bad.

Newbie. Just get some autolites wires from Advance, they are 7mm, good enough.

yup i would do the reading, most of us recommend 8-8.5mm wires, champion COPPER CORE plugs gapped to .040, and a cap and rotor with brass contacts
