the compressor clutch should NOT ground through the body (at least mine doesnt), it sounds to me like a problem with the wiring not the compressor itself

Are there any common wiring issues or is it just hit or miss?

no need for the double post (especially so close together timewise), the only common issue w/ the a/c is the compressor clutch relay going bad if you have a multi-meter you can test end to end of the wires and see if they are intact or shorted to ground.

download the FSM from the FAQ THREAD and use that

My bad w/ the double post my android has issues and I didn't check like I should have. Either way its my fault. The relay is missing and when I found one to replace it there's no wiring in there for it to connect to so im kinda sol I guess

A while ago when I thought my compressor needed replaced (it turned out to be fine) I was pricing them and there were 2 different part numbers, one for factory ac and one for dealer installed ac. Maybe it has something to do with that.

it could be somewhere other than the pdc if it wasn't factory, but I'm not sure. I'm stumped by that one.
