Started up the D, Let it run until it hit 200ish for the temp. And, No electric fan going. For some reason I think I know whats wrong with it. Thanks all for the help! Off to the yard to find a new fan.

i think the e-fan goes on at 212, but if you flip the a/c on it should go on for sure, if not jump a hot wire and ground to the fan to see if it starts, if so you have a bad e-fan relay.

Thank you
Well with a light pull and the clutch fan turn 2 times then your fan clutch is bad. Replace it!

Clutch fan? What is that? I am all electric

Seriously, dunno. Typical 4.7 overheats are old coolant and burp/stat related. Not many clutch fans become free spinners. Instead they rust up and move all the time, whether need be or not.

Well from the sounds of it, I will have most of the front end off anyways, so why not replace both and not have to worry. I will try Jumping it in the morning. Provided I wake up early enough to do that before I go to work.

Thanks again guys.

***EDIT*** Update , Tried jumping the fan, no go. Off to the yard to pull one and to try to find a decent clutch fan while im out there.

Thanks all
