Default Rear locker

I'm contemplating getting a rear locker, but there are just so many to choose from. any help finding the correct one? I want one that stays unlocked and allows different wheel spin during turning and daily driving but i want it to lock up when i get stuck to pull me out. but whats with the spline count?

i have a 8.25 rear axle so im guessing this one would be the one? im not sure about the spline count tho

how do i find out what spline count i have? this one i showed is for a 31 spline diff. any help? thanks!

Just because the sticker in the glove compartment says 8.25 Corporate is not usually true to the size of rear end that you have. Mine reads that and I have a 9.25 rear end. You should look into getting a posi from a junk yard instead of a locker.

If it is a 10 bolt Chrysler 8.25 then it shold be a 27 spline.

I like the PowerTrax but there are many out there.
