i have a 98 with the 5.9 4x4
i put in a new compressor,dryer, both expansion valves.
but it just wont cool if the outside temp is low its ok but when its hot out like it always is here in florida it doesnt cool down
please help i'm ready to sell it since i only paid 2500 for it.

How did you have the system charged (filled) with freon?
Was it evacuated first?

 

i just recarged it at home with est. amount but figured to be close to the 2.44 lbs needed
should i just go have it evacuated right and refilled ?

 

yes go have it evacuated and filled correctly, this way you know that you have the correct amount in it, and they could also tell you if you have a leak in the system (when they evacuate it it SHOULD hold vacum, if not find the leak)

 

Evacuating also pulls out any moisture that is in the system.
Moisture is bad
