I think what your looking for is a flow AT 40 dual 3" for a low tone. If you just want it to sound like a badass mountain sized lobed cam that stutters @ idle that aint happenin. If your in it just for the noise just save yourself the money and install a cutout.

if this isnt a joke you need to punch the guy you heard this from in the face for blatently lying to you, the 5.9 is nearly bulletproof, hell, iv heard stories of guys punching holes in the oil pan while wheeling (running w/o oil
)and driving the trucks home, fixing them and they go on to live for many thousands of miles more, so your source is DEAD WRONG

no im not going against the 4.7, but the 5.9 was a time proven reliable engine, that series has to be one of the longest lasting engines around (def the top of the list of engines i have worked on)

ajoshi My glasspack is a red Thrush and it is 28" long the shell is 23" and is a 4" diameter. It is a 2 1/2" inlet and outlet. My engine is the 4.7L. I put it on for more power to pull my ford truck (see signature). Pulls without any problems other than going up hills, it bogs down, as any thing with that much weight will bog down. Don't buy a Chevy as you mentioned, if not a Dodge than at least an older Ford with a BB motor.
Dans I got the GP from my cousin who wasn't going to use it. It was still in the box and my stock choker was starting to rust a hole in it. I was surprised that my average gas mpg went up to just over 21 from about 18 on the expressway.

Hydrashocker, the only things i've done to my durango are this, a muffler swap for a super 44 flowmaster, and a cold air intake. I also wanted some shorty headers but shrpshtr is pretty convincing in his explanation that both headers and a cat are not needed.
