Talking Time for the me to install my system

Ok well iv been saving up for a month now and the 1st thing i wanted to do is put in a system. I had a lot of the stuff i just needed to buy the deck.

There are a bunch of decks i could have went with(manliy from pawn stores cause of my budget) but i going with this it was at walmart brand new with warrenty at clearance for 140 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_110V801...=detailed_info

so here are the questions

1. I read somethings that say all i have to do to get the DVD player to work in the front is to ground the pink wire. Is this true?

2. I have had a couple systems in my life and i was always told to run the wires on different ends so there is no static. Have you guys done that? an what way did you go?

3. Have you guys put flat screens in the back of the front seats cause i am also getting 2 flat screens. But the truck doesnt have headrest. Is it poss to put it in the back of the seats? is the a write up or pics of it being done?

4. last question is there a such thing as a navigation hack. where i can add navigation to this deck?

Thanks for all the help guys and i will take pics out the ***.

i would try and follow the wires from the stock speakers, just use a new run of wire

and there are a number of rubber grommets in the firewall, just punch a hole in one of them for the power wire

What I did was run the power wire along the drivers side and the remote and RCA down the pass. To get through the front, I ran the power along the right side of the engine bay kind of close to the fender, then went in it i guess you could say and then through a rubber grommet piece on the drivers side. You see it when you open the door. If you look where the antenna runs on the pass side, that is what I did on the drivers side almost exactly cause the rubber piece is in the same spot as the one for the antenna, just the opposite side.

No, I didn't go under the center console at all. Just through that rubber piece as I said then behind the drivers side kick panel and then along the side floor under the little plastic pieces right on the edges of the carpet...all the way back. And then on the pass side the RCA and remote did the same thing just came out from behind the glove box and then under the carpet or kick panel and down the side. And ya it sounds pretty clean. If you would like I can go take some pictures for you, just let me know.

I dint take pics when installing cause i dint think anyone cared LOL but what i can do is take pics now and write up how i installed the whole system if you want.

An the tv in the middle will be a couple of weeks. I got to save for it. The only reason im going with that is cause i was told if i wanted tvs in the headrest i had to swap out my seats for seats with headrest and that would cost more then bolting a flat screen to the back
