Fried fuse holder
This is for the guys who have an aftermarket efan controller. The D's a/c has been acting up so I check it out, I find this:

Closer look:

WTH?! Has anything like this happened to you guys? I was kinda wondering if something was wrong when the efan hadn't been staying on lately in the hot weather. But the temp hadn't been climbing like it does when there's less air flow. Here's a pic of it before I reapired the fuseholder. As you can see, it's staying on the left side of center. That pic was taken after a day's worth of driving around in stop and go traffic around town.

Excuse the CEL, part of my ongoing battle with the NSS. So any words of advise and experience?

your idle is kinda on the high side, unless your A/C is on, then its OK
otherwise id say you got a fuse holder that was not rated for a high enough amperage, the fuse holder should be higher than the fan rating

I was rooting around the garage and found the original fuse holder for the vsc. It's made by maxi. It's HUGE! It has 10awg wires. I think it holds a 45 maxi amp. I'm gonna do some more research and see which it is.Yeah, I do believe the current fuse isn't up to par for the course. It's a 30 amp blade. Actually, IIRC, the stock efan is ratse at 30 amps...
