Default Recall: Ball Joints.

Hi Guys,

I purchased a 2001 Durango 5.9 R/T in May 2010. How can I tell if the Ball Joints have been replaced ? My Durango does sit lower on the passenger side and i'm concerned.

Thanks,
Caliber 308

Hi Caliber, go to this site and put in your VIN. They'll tell you if the recall has been performed on yoru D. HTH. https://www.dodge.com/hostb/crossbrand/owners/en/

probably your leaf springs have suffered - it is possible to over stress them

4X4 Durangos and 2WD's don't have leaf springs on the front only the rear. The front are Torsion Bars. Now your front end is adjustable in height so when a shop does a alignment they are supposed to set your suspension heights FIRST but they never do. I have seen MANY Durango's down so low they are riding on the bump stops!
