Durango trailer lights
Hello new to the site and have a question. I'm wiring my durango with a 4 prong flat plug. How do I wire the turn signal and brake into one wire? The wires I splicing into has 5 wires. left turn, right turn, tail lights, brake, reverse, ground. Or do I need to get a 5 prong plug?
You can either look for the 4 wire lead that is tucked up between the drivers side frame and spare taire area or get a box that does it for you. Personally, I would look for the 4 wire lead that are already there and be done with it.
they also dont make a 5 prong plug (that i know of) its 4 or 7
also, most connector come with some sort of wiring diagram, should tell you what you are looking for (if its generic i understand the frustration)

There is a flat 4, 5 round, 6 round, or a 7 way round plug setup. All are different depending on the trailer and the options that are needed for you to operate it.
The member is talking about a flat 4 wire hook up.
