i just bought a 2000 durango and its been runing good not problems till tonight i went to get in an start it and it did nothing it was like it had a dead battery but this is where it gets wierd i had no door chime hood light or headlights but had dome lights well i tierd to start it a couple times and it didnt do anything no noise the once it made a click noise then stop so just kept tinkering for about 10mins or so and finally it started again it acted like a dead battery but i never jumped it and ive never seen anyting do this before so can anyone tell me what would cause this and how to fix it thanks

 

check your cabels and terminals on the battery could be a bad connection

 

i second a bad connection, or a bad relay, worst case bad starter solenoid (its one unit w/ the starter)
