A 4.7L has no plug wires. It has coil overs and they are over each plug.

If the plugs aren't cheapo $2 Champion Copper then that could be the issue with wet plugs.

well.. this should work with the coilovers as it does with the standard wires . take the #5 plug out stick it back in the coil hold it close to something metal that it can ground to havea freidn spin the engine over as if tryin to crank it and see if its sparking .. in worse case you will get bit by electricity it dont hurt just scares ya

I Did use the champion copper plugs and i did pull the coil and check for sparkand it did spark i didnt check to see if the plug was sparking. i did pull the plug and coil out from number 5 and swapped it with a coil n plug from the number 1 cylinder just to see if the problem would follow the parts so far the MIL hasnt come back on yet. I took the truck on a long drive yesterday From Brooklyn, NY to riverhead long island its about an hour and a half drive and the truck did 85 mph without a problem but the minute i stopped it started to shake like it was missing again

Could the camshaft sensor cause a cylinder 5 misfire?
Also i'm hearing a hissing sound like the engine is sucking in air, like there might be a vacuum leak. Any ideas what could be leaking? I keep looking over the vacuum lines and and purge valves Etc. but i can't seem to find where that sound is coming from. Whqat are the most common places for these 4.7L to have vacuum leaks? Any Ideas?

well what i do when i think i have a vacum leak but cant find it .. get a can of starting fluid or carb cleaner, crank the motor and spray around all vacum lines around the tb but dont spray into the tb just around it.. if u have a vacum leak u will find it this way the motor will either choke down when it gets that carb cleaner in it or it will race up if ur using starting fluid.. it always works for me

That works!

Also I'm just taken a stab at the issue. I've seen Camshaft sensor, Crankshaft sensor, wire loom, coil, bad plug (even new ones), PCM, Battery, and 02's, hell you name it I've seen it. But before we start replacin parts you need to ensure the coil and plug are good then move on.

Ok well i Rchecked for spark i got spark. Recheck fuel i got fuel it honestly feels like it has a vacuum leak. And i keep testing for one with the carb sprays propane torch etc. and i cant seem to find anything at all but you can still here the hissing and the sucking in of air. I can't find da problem what so ever. Are there any common places in these 4.7L that leak a lot? any suggestions what i should do next?
