I took my durango in to get the head job done because apparently cyl. 5 was misfiring and da cause of it was sticking valves in that cylinder. But the codes that came up were cyl 5 misfire detected and injector 5 open circuit. Now i lost my truck for 2 weeks while they did the head job changed the injector and did some electrical work. I got the truck back yesterday and it was ok for about 2 hrs and it started misfiring again. i checked everything you can think of all over agin the coil injector circuit da plugs i cant find the problem n i dont know what to do. what i do see is da spark plug on cyl 5 seemed to be doused in fuel so i cleaned it off and put it back in but nothings works. What do i do? On top of that da truck is idling at around 5 to 600 rpms dat seems to be kind of low. What should the truck be idling at and how do i adjust it? please if anyone can help me with these problems i would greatly appreciate it.
PS Also should da little rubber boot on the coil back be removable?

a little more info would be nice, what year truck, what engine do you have
the idle for these trucks is around 500 rpms warm 700-800 cold or w/ a/c on so your idle is perfect,
i hope that the shop reset the codes before they gave it back to you, but just in case they didnt do it yourself, if the codes still come back, then look into it further
reset codes by disconnecting negative battery terminal, and holding the key to start for 30 seconds or so, then reconnect the battery.

it is missing and thats why its shaky, u say #5 is misfiring thats the miss.. personally i would pull #5 sparkplug and run a compression check then compare it with the rest of the cylinders on that bank.. does it smoke at all or does it smooth out when you race it up?. also clear the codes like suggested... have you had new wires and plugs put in? if not i would do that as well.

Here's what was already done to the vehicle.
Left side head job
New plugs
new injector
electrical work in the wire loom for inj 5
all coil packs were tested and were ok
throttle body cleaning with change of IAC
it doesnt smoke at all just that shake in the engine when i rev it up it smooths out i dont have a compression tester so i dunno what the compression is like in dat cylinder. when i pulled plug 5 back out again it was a little wet and smelled like fuel could the cylinder be flooded with fuel? If so how do i check it and how do i fix it?
