Unhappy Here We Go Again

2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4.7L

So if you recall, i've been having this misfire problem for quite some time already. I've done a crap load of work to the truck,

Head job
new plugs
IAC
Throttle body Cleaning, Etc.

The list goes on. Now me and my uncle dug our heads into the truck and figured out it has to be a vacuum leak. We've tested it over and over sprayed carb cleaner, used the popane torch but we can't find it but you can still hear it. Leading me to believe there might be a problem inside the intake. Now i took it back to the dealer to get some extra work done and i also asked them to check for a vac leak. They came up with the same issue i did, that the problem is inside the intake. to be more precise they said the problem was with a diaphram in the back of the intake. Now i've been a mechanic for 5 years but i've never come across this problem. So i just wanted to know what you guys think. Does it sound legite? Could this fix my misfire problem? Any othe rthoughts or suggestions?

I just hope that this does fix the issue and i have no mor misfiring cuz this misfire is putting a hole in my pocket and i just hate the way the truck feels with the engine shaking the way it is.

I'm actually thinking about just changing the whole intake but i'm hearing its hard to come by cuz there not making them anymore. Know where i can find one? Also would you recommend a k&N cold air intake? I'm thinking about installing one of those to.

I don't know of a maker of performance products for the 4.7L, however take a look around because there are some performance parts.

As for cold air intake, we recommend a custom home brew job and not one of those fancy worthless hot air intake. A home brew intake COLD AIR intake system is easy and cheap not to mention a great add, see here about 6 down under CIA: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...wers-faqs.html
