OH, and I've had it pulling a trailer 30% of its life.

Second confirmed owner of a 99 slt w/5.2 4x4 biught from an auction for 1200.00. With 147,000 miles on the ticker. I invested 4000.00, to rebuild front suspension brakes tune up battery tire. I replaced all the bushings front and rear new hub assemblies to include ball joints uppers and lowers (both were original from the factory) tie rods inners outers. All of the brake lines to include hoses master cylinder power brake booster front callipers and pads rear wheel cylinders and shoes had the drums turned new alt water pump power steering pump complete tune up plugs wire cap rotor. New sensors on throttle body cleaned thottle body 5 new tires and a 4wheel life time alignment flushed engine oil twice then trans twice flushed cooling system till there wasn't any more rushtcoming out about five times after all that i've put 10,000 more miles on it i get 15 miles per gallon in the city and 22 on the highway but i give it new plugs and basic tune up stuff every 3,000 miles(bought the lifetime warranty wires cap rotor parts so the only thing i really pay for is the new plugs) oh yeah i use mid grade fuel and high mileage synthetic valvoline oil 10w30 lucas fuel additive AND PS I DRIVE THIS D VERY HARD s

134K.......Transmission fail at 76K.....Rear pinion seal about 100K water pump at 101K....Hub bearing 108K......... Radiator at 116K new upper Ball Joints at 133K . Those are probably the major failures. The usual maintenance items like bulbs, tires, oil changes etc..... but so far so good. I flushed and changed the differentials and transfer case fluid about 127K.
FYI I got over 70K out of what were supposed to be 50K tires and still had about 3/32 tread on them when I replaced with ANOTHER set of Michelin X Radials. A lot to be said for proper scheduled maintenance including tire pressure checks and rotations.

The truck as a whole is starting to have some of the small, annoying issues that vehicles tend to get when they get some age on them, but the motor still runs like new. Just recently replaced the water pump, timing chain and timing gear, and serpentine belt and tensioner (All taken care of in one trip to the shop for just under $500). That's the only attention it has required other than oil changes and tune ups.
