Default will not start all the time

sometimes my 99 durango wount start, i turn the key here the fuel pump and then one click and thats it. i can turn off the key and try again 2 or 3 times then it starts . the bat is good check a number of times 12.6 volts, this just started about 3 week ago. any sugestions

it actually does sound like a battery, try jump starting it to see if that helps, if it does replace the battery

btw average battery life in these truck is 3-4 years, if yours is older than that you got your monies worth, replace it and move on

The click is the relay for the starter. You most likely have a bad battery connection at the battery or you need to replace the starter. You can try to swap the relay with one of the same number. You can find this relay in the PDC and it is on the drivers side firewall under the hood.
