Default Flushed heater core and radiator now no heat and overflow bubbling

First post here but I am always checking threads out.. Now I need some help

Like the title says.. I flushed heater core and radiator and now my overflow bubbles and now the Durango goes over 210.. The heat blows cold now but did blow a little warm but was still over all cold before. Did my water pump go out? The Durango never did over heat. The overflow did start to bubble as boiling and not air in the system.

Any ideas?

What engine do you have? Different engines have different ways of overheating. Moe info please.

feel the hoses going through the firewall to the heater core, if they are are both hot then you most likely have a blend door issue, if not you probably have a blocked heater core, or bad pump, also feel the top and bottom hoses of the radiator, if one is hot and one not then you have a clogged radiator or a bad water pump

if both sets of hoses test out w/ one hot and one cold hose then you most likely have a bad water pump.

When burping a 1998-1999 Durango 3.9L, 5.2L, and 5.9L you want to:

1. Top off the radiator and leave cap off.
2. Make sure you use a T-stat that has a small bleeder hole drilled into it to let the air out of the top radiator hose.
3. Then you want to put the heater on very hot and fan on full blast inside the truck.
4. Start the truck.
5. Add coolant, water, or 50/50 to top off the radiator (be careful as the fan is moving).
6. Let it idle for a minute and you will see the level drop and add as necessary.
7. When the coolant starts to get hot you are going to see the level start to want to come out of the radiator and spill.
8. With one hand increase the throttle by using the linkage on the throttle body to about 1500-2000 rpm and you will see the level go down again.
9. Top it off while holding the rpm's in the 1500-2000 rpm area and when full place the cap on and lock it down before it spills out.
10. Fill the coolant reservoir to full and look for leaks.
11. Take her for a drive and pray......LMAO!
