Default Help. Quick question

Guys, got a quick one for you.
My D is a weekend car so it's not used often. I went to start it yesterday and the battery was dead. So I charged it over night and tried it again this morning.
The car turns over but now, it will not stay on unless I'm pressing the excelerator.
I'm thinking the alternator is shot, what do you think?
Thanks!

Bad battery. Have it load-tested at a local parts store and have them check the alt as well. Do you run the D during the week to keep the fluids circulated? Sounds to me you may have a slow parasitic electrical leak. Have you installed any new devices like a radio, amp or lights? I suggest you get a battery tender to keep the battery charged up during the times you don't run the D.

I'll have the battery tested. About the leak, I left my phone charger on the jack and it's got a light on it. That may have caused the problem since I haven't used the car in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you have a winner!

With it taking the battery level down that far that in it's self can finish off a battery.

yea your battery is finished, probably from leaving the cell charger in there, for the record the battery can pass the load test and still be bad

another note: i do the same thing w/ my charger, but only when im home in the summer and use the truck every day.
