Dual ccfl halo black crystal headlighs install
Hi all
My son just purchased some aftermarket lights off ebay but there on no wiring instructions , however they basically plug in to the same units as the OEM.
One thing is there is a rectangular box with the words high voltage on it and a red and black wire coming out.
So we connected everything else up to see what was and what wasnt working.
The only thing not working is the halo. So i am assuming the rectangular box/red and black wire is for the halo. But where would i connect these wire?
Pictures attached
Thanks

for my halo's (projector style) I wired them in with the running lights, so anytime I use my running lights they will turn on. It give you the ability to run fogs + halo's without headlights, increasing the brightness of the ccfl ring.
Edit: Clean socks

well there ya have it, from someone who has been there, i was mistaken (however the included wiring diagram should have filled you in on what it was for and where it should go)
oops, missed that it didnt come with a diagram, sorry

IIRC, the hi voltage box IS the ballast for the CCFLs. Like every one else said, connect to the running lights. Not the signal lights. Did that when I installed the white LED strips on the siganl lamps. Bad idea.
Took me an hour to figure out why they didn't come on with the running lights... Wrong wires were connected!
