Question Durango R/T question

Hi all,

I recently purchased a pretty decent 2000 Durango R/T. Today at the junkyard, I was able to score a pair of heated leather seats from a 2001 R/T. The question is - Were heated seats available on the 2000 model?

I've got the wire ends, and the center console from the '01, but the console is quite a bit different. If they were available on the 2k model, it would probably be easier to the the right switches.

Thanks in advance.

Nope. 2000 has power drivers side only. Nothing on the pass side and no heat on either.

If you are going to get it to work, get the harness from the donar and plan on wiring it all up yourself. You can add the switches under the light switch on the lower curve of the dash or above the center console cup holder.

From 2000 to 2001 was a total interior change. Nothing matches.

Thanks for the reply. That's kinda' what I figured. Both seats from the '01 are powered and heated, but I didn't see any wires under the passenger seat on mine. (They do match up with the mounting holes.)

I was thinking about trying to use the '01 console, but there's no cutout for the 4x4 shifter So I'll probably just fabricate my own switch mounts. I'm glad I got part of the wiring from the '01, but I'm going to have to get a wiring diagram so I can figure out what goes where. That should be a hoot.. :-)

I've done it before, I put heated seats in my '97 Town and Country - They were out of a 2000 T&C.
