Trans question?
I have a 99 durango slt 4x4 5.9L
It slips between 1st and 2nd, if you just go with it shifts @ around 3000rpms, if you let off gas and tap it again,(in attempt to avoid slip)
it really slips, like whants to initiate OD, but i always just shut od off.
Im no mechanic, can only do basics, with that said, im thinkin the tranny needs a rebuild, Here is a quote from a well known trans shop:
1999 DODGE DURANGO
REBUILT TRANSMISSION ALL LABOR IN AND OUT,NEW TOURQUE CONVERTER AND FLUID. $2229.19 THIS INCLUDES TAX.
Im wondering if the Tourque converter would actually need replaced, or if my problem could be the tourqe converter itself, i doubt, researched how it works, i have plenty of power, in all gears, just slips alil.

user master tech is the one you want a response from, but i believe it is considered standard procedure to replace the tc whenever you replace/rebuild a transmission, and me personally would not complain about putting that in at this point since the whole trans has to come out to change it (this is just my .02)
