Default Clutch Fan Replacement

I have the 1999 D 5.9L. I am wanting to replace the clutch fan with Electric to fix the cooling issue. This model does not come with a eletric fan to assist with A/C, its a clutch only D. I would like to find some numbers on what the clutch fan is actually pulling. How much CFM at idle and how much CFM at full speed. I want to make sure what I get is better than what have now so I am not wasting my time. As well if anyone has done this actual swap show me exactly what you got to make it all work. I really do not want a switch in the cabin to turn the fan off and on. I prefer a auto setup so it will turn itself on.

It's all in here: All Electric Fan Swap + Much More.

Review the entire thread and you're set.

In the end, those both get you to the same setup I have outlined above. Lots of discussion, some movement in other directions, troubles and miscues, decided direction to listen and try what was proven by others before hand, final result is the same thing. That's why Dan recommended my details I believe.

I am wrong sometimes... just not in the last two decades.

j/k

I happen to be the membership director SS.
No it is not a pay to use site. The forum is free to use for anyone, just like here with less ads.

If you want to be a supporting member there, you get other advantages. That simple.

What's the cloak and dagger PM Dan?

Cool. I have links there in posts that link back to DF here and vice versa. It's all about helping folks. I just won't re-write a thread in two places. Maybe a trouble/problem post on a failed part, etc..., but not a full thread.
