Personally I don't care for roof top cargo bags/boxes. They HORRIBLY decrease our already bad gas mileage. If you really are set in the roof top design I would recommend Yakima. They make an excellent product. I have a Yakima basket on my roof and I love it.

Might I recommend a hitch mount box if you have a hitch with yours. Just if you get a hitch mount don't get a cloth one, our exhaust love eating them.

for the size of these trucks they dont do too badly (unless you have a 5.9 that thing LOVES the gas) however, whitewido is right it WILL put a big hit on your gas mileage yakima makes very good products from what i have heard, if THULE makes one their stuff tends to be pretty good (i ride bikes these are big companies for roof mount racks)

I have also heard many good things on Thule.

And I have the big ol 5.9 in mine. An you are quite correct, it loves slurping gas.

Would love the hitch box, but,, I will be pulling a 4000#s of trailer, so I am getting 8mpg anyway.
Do you think it would drop my mpgs even with the trailer? I can see the cloth one loosing to the exhaust!
