Your right i should get one, Im gonna ask for one for christmas
But i meant to say what should the band adjustment cost me, to have done, "fair price", just so i dont get ripped off, the mechanic i have is very honest and told me he wont touch a tranny.

Then he's a keeper. Any disreputable mechanic will say no problem to tranny work but an honest one will send you to a trusted tranny shop. Trannies are very specialized systems that need specifically trained people to do that job.

They cost about $150 or so now. Personally, I would take them all 8 quarts of ATF+4 fluid and ask them to remove pan, filter, and adjust the trans. THen have them use YOUR fluid to ensure they use the right stuff. They should deduct the fluid cost from the receipt. Make sure they only use ATF+4 and not any kind of Multi-Vehical fluid.
