Default Cluster data link engine code debug?

Guys, my GF Durango is throwing a cluster data link fault, and a key anti theft code. I don't remember the actual code numbers. It went away for a couple days and came back. My buddy is a mechanic and said this fault can be a PIA to troubleshoot. I'm an electronic tech so I'M familiar with serial data streams, and electrical interconnect, but I don't have the scan tools or know the system architecture.

Is there a way through software to disable this fault from generating a check engine light? It's not effecting driveability.

Thanks,
John
