Default O2 Sensor Problem

I was just sitting in a parking lot with the car running and the car started the idle real rough, RPM fluctuating between 500 and 800. I gave it some gas to even it out and the famous check engine light came on. This time I got the P0132 and P0138 codes (O2 sensor 1 & 2 shorted to voltage). No idea what shorted to voltage means but I just replaced the upstream sensor about 2 weeks ago and has been diving fine until today.

Not sure if the problem is more than just a stupid $60 O2 sensor or something bigger like maybe a cat convertor.

Has anyone else encountered this and if so found a fix for it?

sounds like a short in the o2 sensor circuit, if you have driven through any big puddles lately reset the pcm and see if it comes back, if you havn't i would spend some time tracing wires to see if there are any frayed/damaged/melted wires which could be shorted together

Yep actually come to think of it I went off roaring and there was quite a lot of deep puddles. And today it was raining hard when the light came on. Reset the PCM hopefully it clears it up.
