Default hesitant start after sitting for a couple of hours?

I cant figure out what this is. Most of the time the car starts right up and strong. every morning it will always start. but sometimes when i let it sit for a couple of hours while im at work, and then go to lunch it will hesitate to start. The starter cranks right up and very strong like usual but when i let off the key the engine is stumbling like staying below 500 rpms going up and down for a little bit like its about to stall and then slowly reaches up to operating rpms. i cleaned the terminals, changed spark plugs not to long ago, and had some injector cleaner not too long ago as well. do you guys think it might just be the battery? its atleast 3 years old, i dont remember when i got it but i know its over 3. i dont think its the injectors because wouldnt that cause the car to start funny very frequently?

thanks. im just making sure cause a battery is around $80
