Question Starting issues I need help !!

02 Durango 4.7 2wd. Car wil start fine when it is cold, drives great. But when I stop and try to start it again it will not start !?!?!?!!? Leave it for about 45 mins and then it starts right back up ! Any body got any suggestions Im Stumped !

Check the battery first for voltage draw. Also, when you go to start it and it doesn't start does it crank or just make a click? Details would help us get an idea what's going on.

Check and insure the cables on the battery are secure especially on top post batteries. Next if that does nothing I would put some fuel injector cleaner in the tank (STP makes a good product and I personally use Lucas) as it coul be dirty fuel injectors.

Default Fixed it !!!

Cam shaft sensor and crank sensor fixed it ! Yippee

Why the "Hmmmmmm" ?? It did fix it beeen driving around most of the afternoon with no issues

Just good information is all.


I would have thought a bad fuel pump as my 1st choice.
