My girlfriend is thinking about trading her KIA(turd) for this; 2001 blue SLT 5.9L 4x4 7 pass, leather, rear air, infinity sound, power everything including pass seat, receiver hitch, garage kept, very well maintained, old person owned, spotless int, and the best thing 76,000 miles all for 6995!! http://s817.photobucket.com/home/afordnadodge/index

Looks nice, I would check tie rod/ends, get some idea of what well maintained means (such as receipts or something that shows it had regular fluid changes). That is a pretty good deal for 6995 and it sounds like a great truck.

I would change them if needed or not. I want to make sure it is safe for the misses.

Well we know what you think about the kia and i say go for it. IMO older people seem to be more reliable about keeping with the routine of maintaining their vehicles and fixing them quickly when they need it. But yet it doesn't hurt to ask for proof of oil changes and the like. If your not sure ask if its ok to take it to a mech. you trust and ask him to look it over. Better safe than sorry and if they refuse that could be a red flag.

I would agree on changing out the tie rods ends since you're not going to be driving it...
