Sounds to me like a bad oil pump or clogged pick up screen. As a pump wears it will start to bleed down and take longer to prime itself when started. A clogged pickup screen will cause similar problems. If it were bearings wore you would be opposite. good pressure at start up but as oil temp and engine temp rise oil press. would start to fade. I do believe you would have to pull the motor either way.

Yeah, Santa Dad was especially proud of his Xmas gift choices this year.... a new toolbox with a starter set of Snap-on sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. for both of my boys. Quote of the weekend.... little Bobby opens up his tools, picks up the small ball peen hammer and says "Hey Daddy, now *I* have a BFH of my own!!!!"

I was sooo proud. Mom, however, didn't share my enthusiasm.
