Default overhead console

so i was at the junkyard today looking for parts with my friend for his ford. i came across a d and figured id check it out for some treasures. it had an overhead console with two storage areas and a screen. i really liked it but didnt have any cash or a screwdriver to remove it. now im not the greatest at telling what year the trucks are but i know its a first gen. so heres my question. if i were to remove it would it be able to work on my 98 d, like would the screen be functional or would i have to put in a decent amount of wiring?

it should fit, but you will probably have to do some wiring to get everything working correctly

check here https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...d-console.html for install instructions

It won't be plug and play so you will have to install some wiring, however it would be cool. Grap the wiring harness from the donor Durango while your there and that will make your upgrade easier.

I'd go back and get the rest of thw wiring plus the harness. It'll save you alot of greif and stress.
