If the sparks are colder or of other than OEM it makes the motor tick. Replace them with the correct plug Champion Copper and gap at .040.
It sounds like under load is the tick, well try a better fuel or octane as this could be ping.
Then again:
Most likely it's what you replaced! Um, maybe it could be the spark plugs.....LOL....It's the only other thing it could be on a 4.7L cause it's the only thing you changed.

Are the 4.7 really that sensitive to plug types. What is recomended since i gotta buy a set tomorrow. I remember way back during my dirt trackin years changing plugs due to whether we has enough money to buy racing gas that week or not.. Remeber when AC Delco plugs (wich were name brand, best you could buy) were $.50-1.00 a piece?
Chances are that if a coil pack was not plugged in good a misfire code would have been set off already. Did this just happen after the tune up or was it the reason for the tune up?
yup, you want champion plugs, all dodge truck engines are sensitive to plug type, you need OEM core type and gap to be correct, champions are what came in them, and are cheap so just use em and be happy.
And yes always always always champion copper plugs. They are cheap and really the only plugs our trucks like. Other plugs like AutoLite I have seen make an engine misfire in multiple cylinders.
I have a 4.7 and i went with the NGK iridium plugs and have not had issue. Can't remember how much it cost. Only reason I went with them is the store was sold out of the champion plugs lol.
I'm sorry if you don't check out all the THOUSANDS of posts here, (I guess that's my fault), the fact of the matter is; That runnin non-OEM plugs get you non-OEM answers. I'm simply layin that out....
Anyway,
The main reason I state to change the plugs and revert BACK to OEM when there is a problem is; that's the only way to correctly rule them out of the equation to determine what the problem really is.
