Exclamation Internal Temp and Air Direction!

Just when I thought my D was perfectly sound. I was driving yesterday and I noticed that my temp control is stuck on HOT and it will only blow on the floor. I can adjust the fan speed ONLY! But the temperature AND direction wont change at all. Anyone run into this before? I have an eight hour drive after Christmas and on my way up North my feet sweated to death while my windows were down. Someone has to know something about this.

probably a bad connection to the actuators which control the blend door/directional door, or it could be a broken door, the actuators can be accessed w/o taking the dashboard apart, the doors themselves cannot

Look into the actuators huh? Will do, how often have you heard of both the temp and directional malfunctioning together?

can you hear the directional actuator running when you change positions? Mine got stuck on defrost and all it was the rod came off the track on the actuator.
