Well since I'm in east Texas I barely know what snow looks like. But we are still getting rain and I live near a hay pasture. I found it hard to powerslide in 4wd. The front end just wanted to push. Even with the wheels turned and foot deep in the throttle. But in 2 wd I could control the slide much better

Yikes! That's nasty. Looks vaguely similar to the condition of my front diff after I made the same mistake.... (Except I don't see fire trucks in his pics.... LOL)

yea, iv needed the 4wd to get out of my street on and off since the last snow storm, the issue is the cross pattern isnt wide enough to grip in the snow, and they dont clean out well, if they are clean they work o.k., but the tread doesnt clean out, i get home after driving in this crap and the treads are packed full of snow

yup, they are a very hard rubber compound(which also hurts the cold/snow traction), rated for 60k miles (FML!!!), got about 13k on em and they dont show any visible wear, gonna have to start slipping some burnouts in there to help that problem

also keep in mind that in order to get off my street (its a dead end) you have to stop on a hill and then accelerate onto a road where the speed limit is 40mph and most ppl are doing 50+, with my old coopers i never had a problem getting out,

heres the ASTIIs that i had on there before this

note the extra distance btwn the tread blocks that cut across the width of the tire compared to the ones i have on it now, also a soft rubber compound, with what looked a lot like sipes across the *****

with the tires i have now (the widetracks) i have let even more air out than i did w/ the coopers in the winter, in hs (with the cooper tires) i would run 38-40 in the summer and 32 in the winter, i have these (widetracks) down to 30 and they STILL SUCK, and on the same piece of road my sisters little beetle has exactly 0 problems, its embarrassing to say the least.

i don't even know what to say to you about that lol! especially since your in college and you've got no money like me lol!

those coopers look really nice. i was originally planning on getting the cooper atr's but i got one hell of a deal on my BFG's that i couldn't pass up!

yea, im gonna run em till i graduate and hope that either i wear em out by that point and can just put the ATRs on, (the ASTs were GREAT and supposedly used the same rubber compound as the ATRs only difference being a more aggressive tread on the ATRs)

gonna have to start layin on the gas harder to pull off some burnouts and wear em faster, either that or hope that my parents destroy one of these on me while im at school(they will then offer to replace them and i tell them only if they put exactly whati want on it)

Yeah hopefully your parents can ruin them again lol! or maybe you can get new tires and try selling these ones online? if you think they'll sell? how much tread did they come with and how much is left?
