Default 98 Durango drivers power seat broken

My drivers seat was rocking for a while and then now it is a recliner. One of the plastic arms for adjustment is broken. The peace the threads into the rod. Does anyone know what this is called and where I can find one?

Sounds like a junk yard or dealer for you.

I tried the dealer and they don't sell the parts separately, you have to buy the whole assembly motors and all. Any idea what the name of the part is?

I checked out the links and they don't help with my problem. I guess I have to find a junk yard. I have to stick to one seat though because if i buy two they will be worth more than the D. lol. For now I just put a bolt through the one side of the broken plastic part and double nutted it so it doesn't come loose. This actually resolved my previous rocking issue but I don't think this will last. I can't believe they use plastic instead of metal to keep the seat achored. I don't think this is very safe if I were ever in a rear end accident the seat would go back and I would break both my legs on the steering wheel.

There hasn't been any recorded issues with the seat coming dislodged from the anchors if that makes you feel better?

mine also broke but in my wreck i have been looking for the same part for two months now im about to find a nut that fits the shaft and weld up a bracket out of some 1/4" steel or 1/8" just an idea and it cant hurt to try its cheaper then buying the complete assembly but they are def. a design flaw for dodge why plastic?

I haven't started calling the wreckers yet but I found a complete track for $125. I could probably recoop my money by selling off the parts since the dealer only sells the track complete.

I'm going to buy a complete seat so I was wondering if anyone was interested in buying some of the parts. i.e. motors, controls or the second plastic piece that threads onto the adjuster rod.
