Default Fail Safe Tstat

02 SLT 5.9L

Has anyone else had problems with Fail-Safe t-stats? I used one (195 deg) and it stuck in the open position within 2 weeks (maybe 200 miles). The engine never overheated. Are these POS's or did I just get a bad one? Should I use a different brand?

Read my post in the off topic area... They get horrible reviews on most forums, and i personally bought one and it stuck open, had to replace it.. (got a normal kind this time)

I don't care for them and I think they are over rated.
