Default Tire question

Ok everyone its getting about time to put new tires on the D and have a size question. Right now I have 245/75r15 and they are alright but I am wanting something a little larger.

The sticker on the door believe it or not calls for 225/75r15 (yes 225 not a typo) and that brings me to the grand question. Nobody really offers what I need as far as tires so I am looking to up to 31/10.50r15 tires.

There is much more of a selection of what I need for All Terrain tires in the 31 size and am hoping they will fit on my wheels. I have just regular old 15" stock tires nothing special.

All the help would be appreciated and I don't need any brand recommendations yet until I figure out if the 31/10.50 will fit. I am pretty set on BFG.

My spare is on a standard 15x7 and it is a 31/10.50 and it looked fine no signs of being on a rim too small. Are yours the same wheels as the one in the back?

Just did a quick search on tire rack and the rim width for 31/10.50's is 7 to 9 inches so you should be fine as far as your wheels go.

Your OEM rims will work fine. I do question your suspension and it's overall height.

If you are running 3.92 gearing and have the room then I would go 31x10.5x15's, if not (3.55's) lets talk about it.

I run 31/10.5/15 for winters, and 285/50/20`s summers .Those 31`s will fit stock rim without a single problem,,,,,alsi have a full set of 275/70/17`s that where stock on my RT ....so if yu can get a set of 31/10.5/15`s do it , yu`ll like them lol

31x10.5x15 = Michelin LTX M/S = Perfect tire for D at that size. Did I say PERFECT?

Done.

Now use the search the next time Damn It!!

Yep running 3.92 gears since I tow so much. And I would guess I have the room since on my 245/75r15 I got PLENTY of room to spare.
