Default Front License Plate

My D came with no real license plate mount or frame for the front. At the moment, it's got a mount that basically just screws the top two screws of the plate into the plasic up front.

Problem is when I go through any moderately deep snow, the plate gets bent and beat up pretty good. I don't so much care about keeping the plate pretty, but I am concerned that one of these days it's just going to get torn off (which involves the giant PITA of getting a replacement).

What's the best option for mounting the front plate in a solid, secure way? Looking at the front of the vehicle, there doesn't seem to be anything obvious that jumps out at me.

THIS is going to be your best bet. I just took my license plate completely off about 6 months ago when I was having similar issues, but this bracket is what's supposed to come with the Durango from the factory.

As much as I'd like to just take it off, state law where I live requires that it be there. That bracket looks a whole lot better than what I have on there at the moment. The amazon link you posted says they're out of stock, but I'll see if I can track one down elsewhere.

Thanks.

If you find somewhere that has them for sale, please post a link, I'm looking for the same thing for the same reasons. My plate is currently zip tied to my grill to stay out of the snowbanks but it looks fugly!

LOL... I was thinking about doing exactly that, but haven't for that exact reason. Plus, I've never been a big fan of disrupting airflow through the radiator if it can be avoided....

Awesome! Thanks for the new link!

Looks perfect. Hopefully they'll have at least one left when payday rolls around.

I just stick my front plate up on my dash. I was pulled over once for not running it (stuck it in the cubby under the floor in the rear) so I stuck it up there and never had an issue with it since. Year ago now.

Still looks way too low to be bashing through snowbanks. I'm looking for something at least on the front of the bumper instead of hanging below it.
