Default Still not working after new IAC

Replaced IAC yesterday and everything seemed fine. Went out to start up the durango and it did same before I changed the IAC. Had to crank for 5-8 seconds and keep gas going once it started for a few minutes. Any ideas now?

Change TPS? Spark plugs? Anything?

Sounds like a bad battery.

I would also have the alternator checked when you get the battery tested. Overcharging is just as bad as undercharging.

Disconnected battery (the positive) and checked voltage of battery, 12.6 was reading.
Reconnected battery, started engine (did not drive) 13.6 was the reading at idle for alternator. I checked all that before changing the IAC. I will be going into town tomorrow, I will get a new TPS. Any thing you can think of would be great. I live 70 miles one way, so need to get what I can all at once. Thanks for the help, I am very grateful.

that 13.6 sounds a little bit low for the alternator, while your in town have it tested

Your right, so I went and checked it again. It was 14.2 Then I checked my notes, and it was 14.3 when I org. tested it. So alt. is fine.

For future reference, disconnect the negative instead. Otherwise you are putting yourself and your vehicle at risk... Arcing between the positive terminal and cable.
