Could be the Ring and Pinion is out of backlash specifications.

 

not noticing any shakiness in normal driving- but it did want to stay in 2nd tonight. First managed to get the indicator into drive, but be in second. Then I fixed it and it wanted to stay in second anyway. Popped into N and back into D and it seemed to go away... Related?
