New member saying hi
Just wanted to say hi. I've been lurking for a while and have learned a ton about my D (2000 SLT+ 4.7L) from you all. Thanks to this forum, I changed my alternator, drive tensioner, belt, ABS sensor and replaced my stock but old exhaust with a nice Gibson cat-back system. I'm now changing out my instrument cluster as well. Not bad for a guy with no experience and only a few good tools. Couldn't have done it without your help and like I said, just wanted to say hi and thanks.
I had a 2000 SLT+ 5.9L for 6 1/2 years (I was the original owner) but sold it when gas got to $4/gallon a few years ago. Fortunately now though my commute is short enough that the gas prices don't hurt as much so I bought a 2000 D SLT+ 4.7L back in December of last year. I love it, missed it and am glad to be back home in it.

Welcome aboard...... be sure to get plenty of in progress photos of the instrument panel replacement.... most of us are photo types......especially "HYDRA" He has the only owners manual in the forum that is "Pop-up"
By the way, Hydra, I just wanted to say I love your new avatar pic...
Coca-Cola is an institution, and a real piece of American history. It's always nice to have a can or bottle of it sitting on the table to look at while I'm sipping on my Jack Daniel's...

Then again I'm the designated drunk around these parts.
