Will it fit in a stock Durango engine bay? No. Can it fit with some extra fabrication and beefing up the front end? Yes. The V10 fits tight in the Ram engine bay, and trust me it is much larger than the D.
It will require beefing up the front end to accommodate the added weight and torque flex of the engine.
This is not a simple job, and is very involving but if you know what you're doing, and know how to do it, I'd say go for it. I saw on a show one time a guy that put a Viper V10 in a Durango and it ended up being sweet:
Also, don't forget if you do this, I'd recommend changing the transmission to either 47re or 48re.
