Default Questions about mufflers and tips!

So I have a 2000 4.7l Durango and I had recently purchased a Flowmaster 10 series and can't wait to put that thing on! However, my stock muffler setup was originally center in/offset out and the 10 series is a center in/center out, while a muffler shop still be able to do the proper bending and have it fit? Also, I bought a 18'', 4'' diameter black exhaust tip that looks absolutely beast! will the 4'' still fit in the pre-cut section of the body, or will some shaving be involved to make room for the increase in diameter? All answers are greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

I put a 3.5 inch crome tip on mine and had to make a pipe from that last hanger back, so when its at the muffler shop have them make ya one. I wanted mine to stick out about an inch past the plastic and straight. I imagine if yours is 4in diam it will want to tip down so it wont melt the plastic. IMo. By the way Mine is running stock pipe with 36inch glass pack, she sounds about right to me.

Sweet! Thanks! I don't think I'll have them point it downwards, I'll try to see what I can do to shave a few things off so it can fit nice and snug in there!

I'll just have them lower the stock piping to see what happens.

Just have them extend the bracket a bit (or just put a new bracket to look clean) and have the stock pipe about 3/4" lower and tilt the tip down just a HAIR. Not too much, this is what I did as well as take a RotoZip with a rasp bit and take off a little bit of the bumper in order to make it clear with plenty of room.

Check it, below is a picture of mine with a 4" tip and looks very cleanly done...

Looks beautiful haha! That's what I'll have done! I ordered a powdercoasted, 45 degree cut, black exhaust tip and can't wait to hear it with the exhaust! Basically, I'll tell them, do what you gotta do, just make it fit :P Thanks a bunch, nice Durango btw!
