my 2000 durango has no selection for 4x4. the lever has no resistance and will just go back and forth without any effort. i crawled under and saw that there is a gap between some sort of arm coming off the transfer case and the arm to the lever for the 4x4 selection. there is obviously some sort of linkage that is missing. anybody have similar experiences with a problem like this? where can i find the part or maybe point me out to a schematics for this area of the truck? -thanks

this has the schematic of it in there, if you need more than that you can check the FAQ thread at the top of the forum to download a complete factory service manual for your truck.

i would go find a truck in a junkyard and pull the connecting piece that you are misisng off of that one.
