Keyless entry works to unlock/lock doors, but panel wont...Wierd!! Please Help!!
So here is an update. I tested the connections with a meter. So there is 12 v on the switch and when I click it it goes down to 5v. And then back up to 12. So I'm confused I don't know what else to check. I checked both driver and passenger sides. The switches are getting power, is that the correct power though? I don't know what else to check the power is good, I check connection both attached and unattached. I hope this helps someone help me find a solution. Thank you ..
So i have a 2001 dodge durango. The interior door locks both driver and passanger are not working. I have checked all the fuses, I checked power to the switch i recieve a 12v constant and decreases to 5v when you click the switch. The FOB works fine and will lock and unlock the truck. I tried resetting the computer with the Neg cable removed and the key on the ignition. I tried reseting the CTM by removing the 2 fuses to it as well as removed all the connections and cleaned out the pins. I am freaking lost, i have checked everything i can think of. I had a local dealer tell me it was the CTM, but i have a hard time believing that. So i am looking for some help. So if you have an idea please let me know, i was told by a local shop that thier was a small battery that goes to the switch, but i havent seen one. I hope i can get this to work.. thank you for your help
It sounds like you could have a bad master switch. If the connections are burned it could do that. To confirm this you would have to remove the switch, give 12 volts to the switch and check the output without the motors hooked up, or a simple resistance test across the switch.
The part I think is strange is the fact that the key FOB can unlock the truck no problem. This should be the same issue as they use the same master switch so again it could point back to a CTM issue.
