Okay first, your High RPM "Situation" is caused by the transmission not being warmed up and like Hydra says, it does that so it doesn't burn out your overdrive, It's in the manual. It will take a few minutes of driving to get the tranny fluid to its proper operating temperature.

And widow, I just changed my air filter to a FRAM Tough Guard oiled filter. I think the reason I get those gas numbers is because my tires and i have a heavy foot.

Yes! I had the same issues with my gas mileage and it ended up being "Lead-Foot Syndrome".

What about us V-10 guys!

I get hopefully 6 MPG's in the city and up to about 14 on the hwy and that was 3.55 gearing and 33 tires. Now I just upgraded to a Yukon 4.10 gears so I bet I only get 9-13 mpgs regardless and that's with hope on my side. With my heavy right foot consider that less..............

Lol sorry Hydra, I forgot you had that monstrous 8.0L Viper V-10. How about I rephrase and say "It's a common disease amongst us guys with 8 pistons or more."?

I'd get a gallon gas can an fill it up and see how much the meter says it gave you. It sounds to me like the station you're going to need to get their flow meter checked for accuracy.

i agree with this, the station you are filling up at has an inaccurate flow meter, 25 gallons was the biggest tank offered on these trucks, and if you get 25 gallons in that means you have NOTHING left in the tank
