Default stock torsion key vs. new Suspension Max key

I'm wanting to do the T/S lift - already have the Beltech 6400 shackes, but not yet installed. I understand the 8 cranks on the stock key to raise the front 2".

Suspension Max part # SMX-RMCJR torsion key claims to raise the front the same amount without effecting ride quality, with adjustability by re-positioning the inner sleave. Price is $250 plus the $180 for the tool (unless one can be found/borrowed).

2 Questions if anyone can help:

What would be the gain to change the key if 8 cranks does the same job?

If the new key sits much lower than the stock, will it be above or below the cross-member?

I thought I saw recently that Daystar has also has released a new key for the Durango, but the part number I have (KG09112) doesn't seem to match up. I could call them to verify. Online data says is high-density ployurethene.

Vehicle is daily driver with weekend trips to off-road areas in the Southwest. Would like to carry the max cargo, with possible trailer. Could also be looking into add-a-leafs down the road. Currently on 31's, next set will be 32's.

Any thoughts?

dont waste your money on the aftermarket tb key, they do nothign different than cranking the stock key, the reason the ride quality changes is bc you are basically changing the spring constant on the front suspension, a stiffer spring will equate to a stiffer/rougher ride no matter how you do it.

My mech told me not to waste the money, theres no gain and you'll be out hundreds of dollars. I trust them, as they do lifts all the time.
